REXBURG, Idaho — A baby moose was reunited with its family after getting lost in the southeastern Idaho town of Rexburg.
State wildlife officials say the moose calf appeared to be less than a week old and was found at an apartment complex late last week. The calf’s mother and twin sister had been spotted earlier that day at a storage facility in Rexburg.
The Rexburg Standard Journal reports the moose were reunited at a wildlife area in Fremont County.
Idaho Department of Fish and Game officer Andrew Sorensen said he appreciated the public’s help in notifying wildlife officials about the moose family’s predicament, citing two tips that were called in that day.
